Hot Springs hotels in Oita Prefecture, Japan

Exit from train station, turn right, walk out of the exit and you will see the entrance of the hotel on the right of the building at AMU. Lobby at level 8 while room from 9 onwards. Level 19 is the free onsen for guests. Breakfast was good local and western style. The washer and dryer not as good I think as after wash my clothing got a smell. Managed to rewash some at Kagoshima. Overall very convenient hotel as we used their trains to travel to Peppu to visit hells and Yokosuka to visit Harmonyland

We boekten het Sora western kamertype, dat werd beschreven als met twee tweepersoonsbedden en drie futonbedden. Bij aankomst zag ik echter geen futonbedden in de kamer en werden ze ook niet aangeboden. Qua service had ik een betere introductie van de kamers verwacht gezien de prijs die ik betaal. We kregen een zeer eenvoudige introductie van de gemeenschappelijke ruimte, maar kregen geen rondleiding over waar alles zich bevindt, welke Yukata we binnen en buiten moesten dragen, etc. Ik heb een vergelijkbare prijs betaald voor een ander onsenhotel waar we bij aankomst een veel betere ontvangst kregen. We vroegen wel om ontbijt op de kamer voor meer privacy, en hoewel we dat voor de helft van de prijs konden doen bij andere hotels in Fukuoka, leek het personeel het niet te begrijpen toen we ernaar vroegen. Over het algemeen zijn de voorzieningen en de kamer erg goed, maar qua service is het wisselvallig.

Location of the hotel is great. I came from Hiroshima. The journey is very long. I stayed 3 nights here. Breakfast was kinda okay, they have alot of spread. I paid for 1 x breakfast at 3300 yen. Personally i feel the price can be lower. Afew items to highlights were Tempura prawn, mentaiko, corn soup, soba and grilled beef. They have welcome drink (tea/coffee/soft drinks) for certain hours. Topup 1000 yen you can get unlimited alcohol. The location of the hotel is excellent, close to the station. And also they have 2 properties . Next to each other. There’s 6 laudry machines. A sky pool, sauna and indoor bath (onsen). I can see the hotel emphasis/uses alot of technology . Your door card can be paid for many things (laundry and vending machine) including partner restaurants outside the hotels. Where you can charge the expenses to your room. There’s a touch pad in the room, for you go control lighting, air conditioning , check hotel information and even control the TV. The only downside is the touchpad is very bright. It takes too long for it to go into idle mode. The cast and mirroring was lagging for me. As for the wifi, i find it weird that it only allows in my room. I had not as for the hotel wide wifi, not sure if there’s one. The room wifi was okay. The pool on the roof was great . You can see almost the whole beppu. Sadly I did not take photos of it. It was very chill . I would definitely stay here again just for the pool and onsen. The room clothes hangers were kinda little. There’s only 4 of them. The ice machine is at L2 inbetween the fitness center and the laundry. I would like to suggest to relocate it. As it is located directly next to the smoking room. And both times I am there to collect the ice with the cup provided, I almost out of breath from the cigarette. The Washing machine had locking mechanism on it, so other guests would not take your clothes. Select checkout was brilliant, they have 2 counters for it. I ate a breakfast, did 2 laundry and one vending machine. It was calculated perfectly. The staff at the reception were very helpful . Overall the stay was good! Will stay again if I am in Beppu. Thank you .

The hotel is very impressive, and the overall experience was excellent. The staff speak English and provide excellent service. They also offer complimentary wine and drinks during happy hours, allowing us to relax and enjoy them after the onsen.

This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at, probably because it’s very new. I was extremely satisfied with all the facilities in my room. The space was great, and having a kitchen and a washing machine was a huge plus. There’s also a rooftop onsen available for guests, which I really enjoyed. I absolutely loved the free welcome drinks at the entrance I honestly wish I could take the machine home! Overall, the stay was very comfortable. If I were to give one suggestion, it would be to improve the privacy of the onsen slightly, as it’s still possible to see inside from the entrance, which may cause some privacy concerns.

Excellent food, difficult to find the location if driving. The garden area is not attractive at all. Service is good. Hot spring area is a bit small both indoor and outdoor

Reasonable price for onsen hostel with 2 meals. Garden view from room was peaceful. Spacious room though the facilities were a bit old. Breakfast and dinner were included but just average.

Ik heb Yufuin Akarinoyado in Yufuin, prefectuur Oita, Kyushu op Trip.com geboekt om in te checken op 23 oktober. De kamer die ik heb geboekt heeft twee eenpersoonsbedden en een stapelbed. Ik heb mezelf pas geregistreerd toen ik online boekte een vriend die in het hotel verbleef. Toen ik bij het hotel aankwam, moest ik ￥ 3.000 toevoegen om mijn vriend te laten inchecken. Dit is echt onredelijk! Er is geen toilet in de kamer en er is geen water om de handen te wassen, te drinken of water te koken. Ik moet een gedeeld toilet gebruiken. Ik woon op de derde verdieping en er is geen lift loop elke keer van de derde verdieping naar de lounge in de kelder. Ik moet 's nachts plassen. Het is erg vervelend om naar het openbare toilet van het hotel buiten de kamer te moeten lopen!

Located a convenient 10 minute walk from Yufuin station, Sansuikan is a great option if you're looking to treat yourself for a night. There are free flow snacks and drinks (including alcohol) in the lobby, and the dinner and breakfast are all-you-can-eat buffet style, also with free flow drinks. There are two onsens, M/F on the 1st/2nd floor and they swap service twice daily. Both floors have outdoor onsen (rotenburo) but the 1st floor onsen is much larger and includes a sauna. Do note the buffet signages were in Japanese only, so you may need to approach the staff for assistance if you aren't fluent. (Their staff are fluent in English.) Overall I was quite impressed with the experience for the price point. Would come back next time 😊

Nadat ik bij Yufuin was langsgeweest, voelde ik me zo gezellig en blij om aan te komen, ondanks de regen, mist en kronkelige bergwegen. Ik verbleef op de 14e verdieping en het nachtelijke uitzicht was prachtig. Tijdens het avondeten, nog voordat we op reis gingen, zei mijn kind: ”Sneeuwkrab! Sneeuwkrab!” Ik zong een lied en nam vooraf contact met hen op vanuit Korea, en ze lieten me het eten tegen een extra vergoeding van ongeveer 2.900 yen. Ik hield erg van rauwe vis, dus ik at het naar hartenlust. De kinderanimatiefaciliteiten zijn zeer goed. De dame die verantwoordelijk was voor de kinderhoek was erg aardig. De warmwaterbron was niet zo groot, met een groot bubbelbad in het hoofdbad, een sauna en een openluchtbad. Het enige vervelende was... Het was erg moeilijk voor reizigers met kinderen zoals wij, die veel bagage hadden en er geen lift was verbonden met de parkeertoren. Het personeel, van de balie tot het restaurantpersoneel en het schoonmaakpersoneel, is allemaal vriendelijk en reageert snel op de behoeften van de klant. En bijna al het personeel sprak goed Engels! Er was een all-you-can-drink-evenement en aangezien ik met drie vrouwen reisde, mijn zus en dochter, die zelden alcohol drinken, dacht ik veel aan de mensen om me heen, inclusief mijn man die ik in Korea achterliet . De volgende keer ben ik van plan iedereen weer naar dit hotel te brengen ^^
