The breakfast every morning was such a treat. Fresh, tasty, and prepared with care — the kind of breakfast that actually makes you look forward to waking up early. It gave me the perfect energy to start exploring the city.
The location couldn’t have been better. It’s right in a very convenient spot, close enough to walk to the main sights but still in a peaceful area where you can relax after a busy day. I loved being able to step out and reach Samarkand’s incredible landmarks so easily.
Overall, Old Radio Hostel has such a cozy, warm vibe. Between the amazing host, the delicious food, and the perfect location, it really felt like a home away from home. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a comfortable and authentic stay in Samarkand — I’d definitely stay here again!"

"Изначально была удивлена тому что номер смешанный, но тем не менее быстро адаптировалась. Соседи приятные, не шумные,никто не мешал друг другу. Хозяева приятные, при случае могут помочь. До всех достопримечательностей совсем не далеко."

The friendly owner is always willing to share great places to try in Samarkand (excellent recommendations; do try them!) and to discuss his country and city. Fantastic stay. Excellent location. Aircon in the individual room. Shared bathroom was fine.

DDr. SMLMore like an Uzbekistan family Homestay experience than a hostel. Made friends with the girls that I stayed in the same room with :) Walking distance (20 mins) to Registan Square. They have a cute puppy called Charlie 🐶 who loves petting and is super friendly. Owner is super kind and helpful too (he speaks good English), he worked up to help me get a Taxi at 3am as my Yandex Go (e-hailing) app is not working 🥲 I would say, to manage expectations as it would be an experience where you live in a local family home instead of a luxurious accommodation.

SSylvia TeohI didn't take pic of the room as it is basic but spacious enough. The hotel is strategically located in between various sightseeing sites. For travellers who opt for tram and bus, you choose the right location because opposite the hotel just accross the road, there is a tramvay stop and bus stop. Tramvay goes to and for the main train station if you are departing for Tashkent or Bukhara. While bus goes around the city. Take bus 22 to go around the city area such as Registan centre. Take bus 31 to and for airport. Really convenient, affordable, and I highly recommend it.

GGuest UserI thought the rooms were great, big, clean, the bed was comfortable.
Unfortunately, I was woken up by banging outside my window as they thought it wise to build furniture directly outside an occupied room, I would have let it slide, if it didnt happen that evening at 11pm as well, waking me up again.
I had to go tell them to stop, which I found ridiculous. I also specifically booked this hotel for the sauna and swimming pools, which were not usable for 2 out of the 3 days I was there. I understand maintenance are required, but it would have been good to be informed.

AAnonymous UserThe hostel is a good place for a nice getaway for maybe 1 or 2 nights. The owner was nice and everything. The place could use a bit of a nice cleanup, particularly the hallways. Overall, it's in a nice location. Everything's within walking distance, or if you want to take a taxi, that's even faster. Yeah, it was actually pretty good.

GGuest UserThe hotel has a beautiful and pleasant environment, and the breakfast was delicious. There are restaurants and supermarkets nearby, which makes the location very convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was able to check in early, and they helped me contact the driver. Highly recommend

GGuest UserThe hotel room is nice and clean and roomy enough. Looked new inside. The beds are comfortable. There are a few restaurants close by not many. No convenience store near by. The closest attraction is 2.8 km away. Breakfast is good. The staffs are very friendly and helpful and can speak English.
