BBE ABROADABLE - Nat the ExpatBE AWARE: they told me at checkout yesterday that I’d get my $50 deposit back by the evening. Then they said in 3 days. Now they’re saying in 5 days. Still showing that I was charged on my credit card app… So we’ll see if I get that back!
About our stay: If you’re brave and on a budget, you’ll be fine here. But if you’re big on cleanliness and safety then skip this location.
Random crap on the carpet. Shower handles leak all over the floor, and there’s rust all over the ceiling and stuff shoved into gaps to prevent leaks.
The door isn’t secure at all, and the latch chain could just be ripped off if someone pushed hard on the door.
Blood stains (or at least what appeared to be) on the curtain, which also had a massive rip in it.
PROS: no bedbugs and we definitely felt safe there. If in a pinch, we’d stay again because it was cheap (IF I GET MY DEPOSIT BACK, that is. Otherwise it’s not cheap) People at the hotel were friendly, I just hope they’re not lying about giving my deposit back 😂
Breakfast was cereals, breads, gravy, eggs and sausage, and a waffle maker. Nothing seemed fresh, we didn’t really eat much.
Again, if you want cheap, it’s safe enough and does the job. If you want a refreshing stay, look elsewhere.

MM&RGreat location for our trip! We were within 5 miles of our destination. The hotel allows smoking still which for us is not great to walk smelly hallways. The room decor was nice, but the mirrors were smudged and the lamps really dusty. Microwave and mini fridge work, but no coffee maker. The property is old, but for our couples night in Roanoke it served its purpose. Waffle House is next door and that was great the morning of checkout! Overall we would stay again all we needed is a bed and a shower. 2.5 of 5 stars. Needs work and better staff at front desk.

GGuest UserThe surrounding area is not very safe. There are some people who feel dangerous nearby. When I go out to buy things, I see someone in **. The hotel vending machine is very expensive. The front desk is very good. Check-in is very fast.

GGuest UserCheck-in was a problem. When I got there and called to check-in the person I talked to said that my card had been declined and that I owed $30 some more and wanted me to give card information. I said that I had a printed confirmation in my hand from Trip.com that stated that it had been paid. After about 15-20 minutes and after I had given the booking confirmation number, the lady put me on hold and came back and said it was fine and gave me the room code. Otherwise, it was nice.

GGuest Userlocation was nice, the main part of the room was very clean and nice looking but the bathroom was in need of a shape up. there was a huge hole in the wall which they covered up with a towel rack, the shower had cracks in it and the toilet paper was just sitting out there was no holder. the shower curtain bar was nothing but rust and the curtain itself was moldy. the “kitchen” area was also very rundown. the cabinets were filled with rust and just stunk.
