Beach hotels in Johor, Malaysia

We recently stayed for two nights at the Country Garden Seaview Suite by Nest Home. While the unit was clean and neat, there were several issues that affected our comfort: - The water heater was not working, which made showering inconvenient. - The sofa and cushions were wet upon arrival. Although a cleaner came and attempted to dry them with a hairdryer for about 10 minutes, the sofa remained soggy and had an unpleasant smell. - The room’s location facing a busy traffic junction made it difficult to rest. Noise from ambulances, car horns, and traffic persisted throughout the night, resulting in poor sleep quality. On a positive note, the room itself was tidy and well-maintained, which we appreciated. However, the combination of maintenance issues and noise disturbance significantly impacted the overall experience. We hope these concerns can be addressed to improve future guest stays.

I didn’t managed to take much photos however the stay was not too great. The location is near the highway and it’s pretty noisy in the middle of the night. We didn’t really had a good sleep. The toilet door handle was faulty. The hair shampoo and body soap made our skin itchy, it felt like hand soap. There wasn’t any local channels to watch, only from streaming platforms. The bed was sunk in and the pillows were too soft. The bedsheets also had some old stains. The customer service was very responsive and helpful so that’s okay. I wouldn’t really recommend staying in this room. Maybe higher floors are better.

The hotel is old but well taken care. The check in and check out process needs to be improved, took too long. The breakfast charge is over priced. I paid Rm50.88 per meal for my 7 year old kid. And the breakfast varieties are very normal, very limited choices. The environment to eat is also very messy, people queue up for 10-15mins just to get the omelettes. Probably due to long holidays, it’s hard to find a table to sit down and eat. Shortage of workers to clean the table and to clean the room too. Our room only managed to be clean at 5pm. The room is clean, the staff are friendly to help. We enjoy the beach and the pool, the pool is very friendly for kids. The hotel also provides many other activities.

Service was very good, friendly and helpful front desk/reservation office. I had a request as it was my son's actual birthday on the date we checked in and the hotel kindly arranged for a complimentary slice of cake. The hotel itself is a bit dated but rooms were clean and spacious. We had 2 smoking rooms on the 13th floor which had a nice view. The AC worked well, the bed was comfortable and the fridge did cool our drinks. Usual toiletries were provided, no hand towels though. Water pressure was alright but you may need to request for a bathtub stopper (if needed) as this was missing from both our rooms. TV channels were a bit spotty, in one room all movie channels were grainy and in the other room it was actually worse, could only see a few local channels. Wi-fi signal was strong. Power points were far from bedside which is to me a major drawback as I could not charge my devices conveniently next to the bed. In one room, one of the power points did not work and we had to use the kettle power point as the other was underneath the vanity table. We didn't bother to call maintenance as we were only there for one night. Location was good, it's not in the city itself but not very far, maybe 10-15 mins by Grab. There's quite a few food outlets nearby if you're willing to walk out of the property. It's also attached to a mall but I think the duty free outlet was being renovated. We didn't really walk around the mall so can't comment. Seems a bit limited though. There's a 7-11 downstairs at the hotel itself for any snack emergencies. Lots of clubs and nightlife immediately outside the hotel but it didn't really interfere with hotel guests so that's fine. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming but wasn't terrible. There was no live egg station which is always a disappointment as the pre-prepared eggs became rather dry and unappealing. I saw bread and butter pudding tag which I thought was a nice, however it was not replenished while I was there so couldn't try. Overall, I guess it's alright for the price point.

We booked Studio and before we check-in we found Studio room have to share living & kitchen area with other. During check-in we requested upgrading to Suite instead but Suites are all sold out but staff kind enough blocked the other Studio room for us. Really appreciate it. The swimming pool there not clean and have a lots of leaf in the pool and the seating bench at the poolside also broken. But the sunset at the beach there really amazing. That was the only things which enlighten our stay.

I recently stayed at Tunamaya Beach & Spa Resort Desaru and overall, it was a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The resort has a calm kampung-style modern vibe, perfect if you’re looking for a short escape from the city. The room was spacious and clean, with a cozy design and a balcony where you can enjoy the sea breeze. Waking up to the sound of the waves was definitely the highlight. The infinity pool facing the beach is beautiful, especially during sunset. The beach itself feels quite private and is nice for a morning walk. It may not have crystal-clear water, but it’s still a great spot to unwind and slow down.

Ik kreeg de onderling verbonden kamer toen ik met mijn 3 kinderen kwam. De kamer met zeezicht was het beste uitzicht dat ik eerder kreeg van mijn andere vakantie. Ik ben zeer zeker dat ik terug zal komen naar dit hotel. We bestelden roomservice eten voor het diner. Het eten was echt heerlijk en lekker. Maar als het hotelmanagement een gevarieerder menu voor het ontbijt kan bereiden, weet ik zeker dat iedereen er dol op zal zijn.

De omgeving is prachtig en comfortabel. Het personeel bij de receptie was erg vriendelijk toen ik incheckte en elk personeelslid had een warme glimlach, wat me een zeer aangenaam gevoel gaf. De hotelfaciliteiten waren allemaal goed onderhouden en erg schoon. Ik had bij het boeken een speciaal verzoek voor wat decoratie en de regeling overtrof mijn verwachtingen – het voelde erg attent en ceremonieel. Het eten in het hotel was ook heerlijk, vooral het ontbijtbuffet, dat een ruime keuze bood en schoon en hygiënisch was. Het was een geweldige ervaring en ik kom zeker nog eens terug.

Location was good n da sea view super nice ,da cleaning can be more better cos da flooring feel Abit sticky n a lot of ants ,n also da room without cabinet to hang our clothing 😅 , easy to check in n da office counter girls are friendly 🤗
